Starting to think about Easter baskets...

Anyone else do Easter baskets for the kids or hubby?  I need suggestions!  I'm gonna go and buy some stuff tomorrow.

My husband & I used to do them for each other, but not lately -- just too busy, I guess, and they get sorta expensive.

My mom used to make it a treasure hunt for us. She had paper that looked like bunny footprints (a diff. color for each of us), and they had riddles in poem form. We had to follow clues all over the house to find our baskets. It must have taken her hours to write a separate clue poem for all 3 of us! But it was SO much fun.

Yeah I do make them, I made one for me neice and nephew and i am in the process of making one for my boyfriend. When I make them i try to think of a theme, and that normally helps me.

I just got some easter basket stuff for my niece and nephew yesterday.  I bought:

  • these wind-up duckies that hop and lay bubble gum eggs (they're hilarious!)

  • chocolate foil-wrapped easter bunnies

  • super balls

  • silly putty (the egg-shaped container fits the theme)

  • jelly bellies

  • a little stuffed bunny for each of them
