I just wanted to say that UPS sucks!
My roommate had a package delivered by them yesterday. Here is why they suck. I go to leave the apartment and what do I find sitting infonet of the door in the hallway but this huge ass box. I was home all afternoon so I swear they never rang the door bell, I wouldn't assume this except that when I go to pick the box up and bring it inside all these packing peanuts start falling out of the bottom of the box. Not only was the tape torn off on it there was hole on the bottom edge of it. So I called my roommate to make sure that of what she had ordered and that all of the contents were inside, luckily nothing was missing.
So anyway I then as I am leaving and heading for my car I see a trail of packing peanuts all the way from my apartment door down the stairs and out into the parking lot. where I also find bits of cardboard by the side walk.
So not only does it appear they ripped open the package and left a mess every where they then, decide not to ring the doorbell because of their mistake and left a package of expensive clothes to sit in an apartment hallway to potently be stolen.
stupid morons

ok,sorry end of rant.

Damn!  They should have cleaned up after themselves!  They never bother knocking at my house either.  I will be sitting at home for hours waiting for a package and find it at the side entrance to the house 'casue they are too lazy to walk to the front and ring a doorbell.

Thats awful! I have had several issues with UPS not taking care of packages. I have had several shipments of furniture destroyed by them. Apparently the "Handle with care" sign means nothing to them.

Hmm, I usually get my UPS stuff with a doorbell ring, but they sure don't stick around to see if maybe it's the wrong address.  I have also had the problem of them dropping off a package that should be going to a neighbor.  In that case, it was midday, so I just carried it across the street to the guy's house.  I didn't ring the doorbell because....I dunno....I felt like he probably wasn't home anyway.

Also, I think that it's usually the same delivery guy every time, unless they have turnover. Maybe you should complain.

Our UPS guy doesn't even ring the bell although he does attempt to conceal it somewhat. For awhile I was shipping my stuff to my brother's apartment. Everything there just gets delivered to the office so it's really safe. Now I mostly ship it to the other half at work. There's just a couple of guys that work there so it's no big deal. It's kind of funny to ship stuff that might come with a pink ribbon on it or from a company with a girly name and hear how he got teased lol.

This lady I knew while I was selling Mary Kay had this box thing on her front porch. It just looks like a decoration but it's really where packages that are shipped to her get stashed it's really kind of neat.
