If this is true:  Can Bush be impeached?

Is it possible for depression and disappointment to cause apathy? Because that's pretty much how I feel about politics these days.

I saw a hilarious sign the other day at some protest. It said: Will someone give Bush a blowjob already so we can impeach him?

Too funny!

To answer you question, yes he could be impeached. But I hardly think being a traitor to your country is on par with receiving oral sex in the oval office. Being potentially immoral is waaaaaayyy worse, don't you think?

How anti-climatic.  It should be really outrageous news, but somehow it's almost so expected that I kind of don't care anymore.  This outing Plame story has been going on for so long already and I think most people who know about it probably already believe that Bush was involved and have believed so for a very long time......and feel like there is nothing they can do anyway but wait for the Bush administration to leave office after the term is up.  Therefore, Libby's testimony is like, well DUH.

This is a pretty scary statement!  I mean, I agree with you, but the fact that so many of us have gotten to this point is kind of scary, don't you think?  I'm like, "WHAT!?  I'm outrag-er-yawn..."  Plus I feel like this the kind of thing that never gets appropriate media coverage either.  Because there are people out there who won't have expected it and if the story's only talked about on the morning news and then by evening we're back to the Hunt for Osama or whatever, it will be barely a blip on the radar, which is pretty sad.

There is no point for me to spend any energy being outraged by it.  I vote, I didn't vote for Bush, but the majority of my state did, so what am I supposed to do.  I watch and read and listen (NPR and Air America) to the news, I stay updated and I am aware of my world, but I am done with the being outraged part these days unless it's of a more human needs concern, like the Katrina mess, immigration reform, environmentalism...etc.

I agree Lorelei.  Having been outraged for 5 years and counting, I find it hard to muster the energy to be outraged about this stuff anymore.  Seems like same ol', same ol' with this administration, and since being outraged doesn't seem to affect change with Bushy Wushy, I'm just closing my eyes and waiting for it to be over.

no, he cannot be impeached for this.  de-classifying information is within his rights. he did this to expose inside information in hopes that he would receive more support from the American people.  damaging to his integrity? sure. but impeachable? no.
