I am always amazed at some of the clothing you girls find on ebay.  I have ordered shoes and am not really nervous about that, but I am really afraid to order clothing.  When they give the exact measurements, I am not sure how much ease to allow.  For instance, I know that someone who measures a 36 around the fullest part of their chest should allow some extra inches in the chest, but how much?  Can someone give me pointers?

Meow, I'm pretty new to ebay myself, but I think your best best is either buying brands that you already own or have tried on before, or measuring something you already own that fits you well and compare those measurements to the ones listed on the auction.

I agree with Elle. I still go into nordies or saks occasionally and try on a bunch of styles and designers to figure out what size I am and then I use that to shop online.  It works well for me.  I remember you don't have many stores where you are at but when you go on vacation or to the mall you should try the same.  Just write it down in the dressing room as you try on.

I've had very good luck measuring something I already have, and comparing the measurements to what I want to buy.  Just be sure to lay it flat and measure comparable items (like a sweater to a sweater)

I also tend to look for brands that I already own, like JCrew, banana and BCBG, so I know what size I would wear.

And I set myself strict spending limits, so if something doesn't work, I won't feel bad or could easily get my money back by listing it again.
