this supports my theory that Tom Cruise is gay, and that the whole pregnancy is being faked. The dressers probably put in her fake baby bump the wrong way that morning.

This is really random, but VH1 had a show about Leah Remini when she was pregnant/gave birth to her first child.  She's a scientologist and did the silent birth thing too.

Let me say that I IN NO WAY support any of the crazy scientology ideas, but the silent birth wasn't strange or weird.  She definitely had an epidural and was grunting and groaning, talking to her husband, doctor, nurses.  Mostly it was her hubby and doctor who talked quietly while coaching her.  Afterwards, I though, huh that was really odd but not insanely bizarre.  But if she had a giant paci, that would be another story...

if she gives birth to multiples (and thus implicating artificial insemination), i will KNOW that Tom is gay...

of course, just because she gives birth to one Cruise-esque baby won't prove anything more than the fact that she did have sex with a man who looks like Tom Cruise.  that's my story and i'm sticking to it.

not that I want to defend the creepy TomKat thing, but is it possible that she's walking over a subway grate or something that is blowing air? That would explain why the top is billowing out, esp. if it's empire waisted.

Scientology is freaky. Did you guys ever read that story about the reporter who went undercover to investigate it?

Superstars JOHN TRAVOLTA and KELLY PRESTON are one of Hollywood's longtime happily married couples, wed since 1991 and parents to little JETT, 13, and ELLA BLEU, 5.

At last Friday's "UNITE: Fight for Kids" Event in New York to caution people about the potentially harmful effects of psychiatric drugs on children, John and Kelly told our LARA SPENCER they couldn't wait for another A-list friend to become a dad.

"We're so excited for them!" Kelly said of action hunk TOM CRUISE and mommy-to-be KATIE HOLMES. "They're going to make the most wonderful parents."

Katie announced her pregnancy last October and is expected to give birth any time now. "Tom already is a great parent," John said. "And now he is going to have the excitement of having his own child."

Like Tom, John and Kelly practice Scientology, which some have said requires what is called a "silent birthing" for women in labor and the staff around them. The Travoltas were eager to shed some light on the practice. Scientologists believe that for the benefit of the mother and child, silence should be maintained during childbirth.

Kelly explains that the birth mother is not expected to be unnecessarily silent or repress her feelings. "Screaming is fine," Kelly says. "Sounds and screaming. It's the words. If you can -- avoid saying certain phrases and words, just try to keep it as quiet as possible."

Meanwhile, John revealed details on his two upcoming big-screen ventures. "What I love is that I've pursued 30 years as a leading man sex symbol and then producers for two years pursue me as a fat woman!" he says of his role in 'Hairspray.'

John also confirms that he will, in fact, step in LARRY HAGMAN's boots to play J.R. Ewing in the feature film version of 'Dallas' and that they are now on the hunt for a director.

"We have a new director in mind that I can't mention yet," he says. "It's still going to go in November and we will have a director."

It is just the wind blowing up her blouse.  I saw her in a similar blouse (or the same one?) on tv yesterday and it was ballooning up in the same way.
