Has anyone see a cheaper version of this beautiful shoes? I concede that they do sort of look like "hooker shoes," but they are stunning.

Is the woven sole a must-have for you?

All I can say is that you can console yourself with this fact: the woven sole in white/tan will undoubtedly get so dirty so quickly.  As beautiful as they are they are completely impractical. I haven't seen anything else with a woven sole like that on the cheap.  Sorry.

I saw a knockoff in a magazine. I think they were by BEBE.  But I can't find them on there website.  I'll keep looking.

I bought a knockoff pair about a month ago by Jessica Simpson.  Style is AMY.  I took a picture wearing them with a club monaco dress in thread style.  They're nicer than the Steven pair, IMO, because they have a cork heel rather than wood and they're cheaper too (79).  I got mine at nordies.  HTH!

Yep..I have the Amy version by JS too, and let me just say, I got rid of my Barbs for this pair because they are SUPER comfortable. And I"m not just saying it, I"m picky about comfort and these fit nothing like the Barbs. You can wear these and walk w/o your toes being crushed or crammed.
I recommend! But just so you know (and I have seen both pairs) in IRL they don't look lipstick red like the Maddens-they are more of a fuschia that's why I got mine in Black...
