I have two weddings to go to this summer - one in May and one in July. Does this dress look appropriate for a wedding? I'm obsessed w/polka dots!
The May wedding is my BF's father's side of the family, who I can't imagine getting super ritzy, but it is at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The one in July is my dad's side of the family and it's at a casual banquet hall, so I'm not worried about being dressy enough for that.
I like it. I think it could function as a fancy-ish dress because of the material and because it's black, but the polka dots keep it from being too stuffy so it could also function more casually.

bcbg did that dress or a dress exactly like it a few season ago and i found it to be more appropriate for prom than weddings, but that's just my opinion. if you like it, get it.

I think it is very appopriate! You can dress it up and down. I also rememeber when BCBG did that dress and when I worked there lots of Atlanta girls bought it for summer weddings.
I really like it and I think it would be beautiful with a royal blue or vibrant green shoe/accessories/shrug/etc. It would really play off the polka dots to create a fun look.
Oh wait, I forgot to list my one concern: all the mesh. I'd have to try it on to make sure it wouldn't be too overwhelming for me, just to be sure. But assuming it's not, I like it!
