I have an older sister (36, I'm 33), we look nothing alike. She is blond haired, blue eyed, light skin. I have an olive complextion, dark hair & green eyes. People say it's creepy to be around us because we have a lot of the same mannerisms, walk the same, that kind of thing, but we are nothing alike. We are close, talk every day, but there is a lot of healthy sibling riveralry in our relationship too.

I have a younger half sister that is 18 & she looks a lot like my older sister but is prettier. Don't say I said so though!

It's strange because both of my parents are dark haired, with dark skin tones but I'm the odd man out on the siblings!

i have one sister, younger. i'm 27, she's 19. other people say we look alike, and there are definitely features we have in common, but i don't think we look alike. we're very close, though she's away at college so we don't talk or spend as much time together as we do when she's at home with my dad.

Until then, I only had an older brother.

We have the same nose, I think but obvs. it's too early to tell how alike we'll look.

What a cocoon of cuteness!!!! I'm 11 years older than my baby sister, and I still remember holding her when she was a newborn. She grew up so fast, sniff. You are going to have so much fun with her

My sister is 21 and I am 30. We look alike in some ways, but she is overweight, slouches, and dyes her hair blue, dresses kinda goth. We would look more alike if she dressed normally, and didn't wear heavy makeup, but I haven't seen her in a natural state since before she hit her teens.

We used to be close when I still lived at home (I don't live in the same state anymore) and she wasn't in her teens yet. Now, she is very hard to reach emotionally, so I don't bother because it hurts to be the only one trying.

I don't know. People either say we look exactly the same or completely different. We definitely look like sisters but we have different coloring.

Are you close?

She's my best friend. She's so much fun and a big ball of energy and I'm more lowkey so we really balance each other out. We pretty much always get along and I can tell her anything.

I'm the oldest.

Are you close? Nope. We haven't spoke since July 4th 2004 after a horrible blow-up. I saw her this past Thanksgiving and was very warm and friendly toward her but didn't receive the same. I also wrote her a long letter in December '05 stating my feelings about the day we had our falling out and told her I love her and want to be in her life and to contact me if she wants to be in my life. I have'nt heard back from her and at this point don't expect to. It really is sad and I'm still trying to cope with the loss of my sister.

Are you the youngest, oldest, middle? Middle, but I was the baby for a good seven years.

I'm sorry Drew I almost lost my sister a year ago, and the thought of never being able to see or speak to her again was devastating. The flight home was the longest 5 hours of my life. I hope your sister remembers the bond that you share, and comes back into your life.

i have a sister who is five years older than me. we look nothing alike (but we are both adopted). we aren't really close, and i get annoyed because i feel she only calls me when she needs something. plus she is super bad with money and sometimes i can't even talk to her about it because it just upsets me. (i mean being seriously in debt, but getting out a new loan so you can put a deck on your house? super irresponsible imo)

maybe now that we both will have young children we will talk more often/etc..but i have a feeling i am going to be raising my daughter very differently than how she raises her twins. (she is a FABULOUS mom, but i'd never feed an 18-month old a cheeseburger)

Yes, I have two. One is 20 years older than me and the other was 17 years older than me. She passed away when I was 8 and she was 25. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her. My eldest sister and I are extreme opposites but my mother thinks that my other sister and I would have been extremely similiar to each other.

Do you look alike?

Nope. They both have/had clear sky blue eyes and dark thick brown hair. and both are/were much thinner and lankier than i am.

Are you close?

I wasn't close to my eldest sister until i moved to the same town that she lives in after i graduated from college. now i gravitate towards her whenever i need help with something... we talk about once a week. i wouldn't say we are close like sisters that grew up together and shared everything together- but we are close for what our relationship allows.

i'm the baby baby! all of the kids were out of the house when i was born so i grew up with a double whammy- baby of the family AND only child!

Yes, I have one sister.

A little bit...I think we used to look more alike when we were younger. People used to even think we were twins. She dyes her hair now so she is blonde and I'm a brunette.

Are you close?

Sort of...we talk about once a week. We've got closer after we both finished school and moved back to the same area.

Yes, Tiffany (also on ST when she has time)! I love her dearly and "asked" my parents for a "sister". She is 18 and I'm 26. We also have a younger brother (almost 16).

Do you look alike?

Do you think so? People tell us all the time we look the same - even get mistaken for twins a lot. If we state out age difference, I get guessed as the younger one a lot - probably cuz my face is rounder. She is much cuter with the dimples and big eyes! :)

Are you close?

Yes! She is one of my best friends! We go on vacations together just the two of us and she is my best shopping partner since I've basically raised her shopping!

Wow Erin! That's cool you were both adopted. Sorry you guys aren't so close but maybe you're right - maybe eventually being both moms will help you guys relate better. :)

Yes, one sister, she is 20, I'm 22.

Do you look alike?

Other people think so, we speak the same, and are about the same build and height, and have long brown hair. I have blue eyes though and fairer skin, she is more olive skinned and has brown eyes.

Yea, she's one of my best friends. Any terrible argument we've had blew over in an hour. I couldn't ever imagine it not being this way. When I'm in town, we'll lie in bed and talk til we fall asleep.

Do you look alike? My older sister and I do not look alike at all. We have different dads. So she has fair skin and I'm a little darker. My younger sister and I do somewhat look alike. Some people think we look alike and others don't. She looks older though.

Are you close? All of us our close, but I think my younger sister and I are closer. We are always doing dumb things & we have some of the same taste. I think one of the reasons is because we still live in the same house. My older sister is married.
