number one, let me say that i can't STAND ryan seacrest. his whole "seacrest OUT!" thing makes me want to gag, and i really don't understand why he's a celebrity. he's so plastic and what a fake personality.
that aside, i really like the blazer/ tshirt look. i LOVE it in fact, but then again i'm into those indie rocker sorts of guys ;)
depends on the guy. Indie rock boys look really cute in it but i think a guy like my bf (who has more of a punk style) would look dorky.
Ditto.
When the metro guys do wear them it feels skeezy to me. I don't know what it is, but they look greasy and I am pretty sure they have GHB in their pocket. BUT when the weiner punk guys do it I like it. My boyfriend wears he beat up converse and goodwill tshirts w/ his blazer and I think he looks good.

hee hee!
I like it but I think it's only because my DH doesn't even own a jacket....or a tee shirt for that matter.

I only like this look on indie-rockers or artsy types who do it because it works on them. It looks way too practiced on a typical metrosexual like Ryan Seacrest.
I'm leaning towards nay. I just think it looks pretty calculated in most cases. Like the guy is trying so hard to look cool that it's just too obvious.
i think in addition to the guy's "look" it also depends on their build. for example, i think skinnier guys with a more narrow build (the typical "indie" build) look pretty decent in it (if they keep it simple and not like they are trying too hard), but guys with a more athletic build, like with really broad shoulders or a bigger chest look kind of silly in it. i tried this look once on my husband (who has extremely broad shoulders) during an experimental shopping trip to bloomingdales and he looked really stupid in it.
i really hope that my saying this isn't offensive in any way, because i certainly don't mean for it to be, but i think that this kind of outfit seems to look really good on african-american guys. for example - i've seen pics of taye diggs in a tee/blazer outfit and he looked incredible. we also have a friend (also af-am) who wears jeans/tee/blazer whenever we see him and he always looks casual and cool and not at all like he's trying to hard.

yeah, it depends on the guy. seth cohen types...yes. my bf....no. i feel like my bf is too tall for it, and a pretty average build, and it's just not him.
my favorite look for guys, or my bf is a black blazer, white button down, smart jeans, with a belt. he can rock that look because it fits his personality better. he's much more of a business man than a indie music type guy.

I guess since I am married to one of those skinny indie type guys I am a little biased. My husband wears t-shirts with blazers all the time and I really like it. I do think you need to have the indie "look" to pull it off...narrow build, a little rumpled, messy hair, etc.
its so funny you asked this. i just started seeing a guy and this seems to be his "look". i love it on him but agree with the others girls it doesn't work on everyone. i am also really excited that this guy has a sense of style at all because the last guy i dated had none.
