I've been on a semi-shopping ban since February.  But now I need to buy some spring clothes for work.  At this time last year, I was at a very conservative office that required suits. Now I'm at a business casual office.  I desparately need some business casual tops.  I'd really like to get some that I can wear on weekends or out after work, too.  Can you guys post some cute spring work tops?   I need inspiration before I go shopping, this is my first 'business casual' job.  TIA!

First, I would look at Drew and Smash's TS posts and copy their outfits   They do business casual so well.


Some tips from my experience are to



  • Buy neutral pants that will go with lots of different tops so you can mix and match easily

  • Fitted blazers always make an outfit more interesting, and look great on the weekend with jeans

  • Get a few short-sleeve blouses.  Nice tees are ok under a jacket or sweater, but blouses are an easy way to look polished.
