ok I am about to scream I have this aweful flaky skin but it is only on the sides of my nose and  in-between my eyebrows and right above the brows. I thought I had oily skin for a long time but I starting using face cleaner that was for   combination skin and I noticed that I dont get oily during the day like I use to. I do have the neutrogena micro-oxide cream but I have been using it with my fingers since my little machine is broken. Sorry for the long post , any suggestions?

oh I have been using the clinque dramatically different lotion

Use toner with a cotton ball after you wash your face.  I have oily skin that sometimes gets flakes, which means its oily/sensitive skin.  This is my no fail routine - i never get flakes anymore and I get them back if I skip the toner  a few days.

Seashells Thanks. What kind of toner do you use?

If your skin is fairly normal with the new face wash, I would use something w/o alcohol in it.  If your face is still getting oily, use something w/ alcohol.

I like the clinique line of toners.  However, neutrogenas are comparable.

I am currently using a Olay one which does the job as well.

It might be the cleanser.  Stuff with salyic acid (sp?) sometimes makes my face a little dry and flakey, and Triclosan which is one of the cleansers I use seems to cause me skin to flake.  I usually just have to change what I'm cleaning my face with and make sure to moisturize.

Peel off masks can sometimes help.
