Oh no! This was one of my favorite mags! I guess I should have bought a subscription, although maybe it's good I didn't. I'd always go read it in B&N on my magazine reading trips. I wondered why I hadn't seen a new one recently. I'm so sad! This was a GREAT magazine.

Oh no! I love BL and was going to sign up for a free sub through Amex. I had a free sub before but then it expired and I was just starting to miss it. It wasn't even a monthly mag either. Bummer.

oh boo! i had a free sub. to this as well and really liked it. i especially liked the budget makeovers (where they would go over a couple's budget and tell them stop spending $700/month on dining out so they can buy a house someday)...so i guess for that i would probably look for a personal finance mag. not as fun though.

in a similar vein, i also like Real Simple, not exactly budget-specific, but their stuff isn't usually too expensive, and a nice mix of home, fashion, cooking, etc. there used to be a mag called Organic Living or Organic Style or something that had a similar feel, though again, not really budget-minded...not sure that one's still being published though either. it was a good one too.

It is, and it's called Organic Style. It's not budget-conscious though; it's more focused on organic items in general.

Hmm...seems like it was a good mag. I never have read an issue. I guess their problem was brining in subscribers.

oh nuts i had a subscription to this mag and i iddn't even realize it! i have one to organic style too but that's out of publicaiton as well. they tried to substitute my subscription with body + soul SOOOOOOOOOOOO not as good!
