March madness, shoes and more shoes
Permalink Closed

Okay so Hubby and the boys are into their basketball and God Forbid I interupt March Madness but I've got some madness of my own going on. I just figured out that I've bought 8 pairs of shoes in the last week, returned three and am still searching like crazy for the PERFECT neutral wedge. I have bought every thing but that wedge for crying out loud. A gorgeous pair of red peeptoe heels, flat gold Banana Republic  thongs, two pairs of Aerosole Tredding Waters (white and tangerine, AND I still want these in brown or tan, SO comfy), and lastly a pair of awesome Bandolino wedges that are multicolored because they were only 35 at TJM instead of Zappos 72.

I must be crazy because I want those Bandolinos in another color as well as the extra pair of Aerosoles. Then of course there's the elusive wedge......Please tell me I'm not alone in this... anyone else fall prey to the buy em' in mulitples urge? How about binges when the new styles come out. Talk me down, please!

I don't buy in multiples, BUT I have bought three pairs of shoes in the last week, so I totally know what you mean!

And I think I know which Bandolino wedges you're talking about. They are so cute.

Ok-so I can't talk you down, but I have found myself in the same predicament. I bought 3 pairs of the elusive Jessica Simpson Shoes (Black patent, round toe pumps), just because everyone had to have them. One pair in two different sizes, and a very similar style. Then I went to the 9 west outlet and bought 2 pairs of shoes. One is gold peep toe wedge with rope heel, and the other is a black thong wedge shoe. Crazy, crazy...Then I went to the regular nine west and bought two pairs of shoes in the same style but different color. Rebekkah in a red patent and in a black patent! I also just bought a gold pair of Reef thongs to offset my fancy shoe purchases...I think I too have March Madness!!! Now if only I could the perfect tennis shoes for my work outs....

Lol, I feel MUCH better! I think once my purchases feel completely right, the searching and shopping will be more manageable. At this point I feel frantic that if I don't see everything out there now, I'll miss the shoe I need. No,  I mean I'll find it and it will have sold out in my size kwim?

Halleybird, are these the ones you were thinking of? I think they'd be great in the tan or brown but with the fairly closed off toe, they also remind me of fall but not so much of a California spring or summer. They are unbelievably comfortable at any rate and the price was right.

I find that when I buy shoes, I tend to buy muliple pairs in rapid succession.  I binge and buy 3, 4, 8 pairs in a week or two and then nothing for months afterward.

You're not alone, that's for sure!

I don't think they're those exactly, but I saw a similar pair at my TJM. Yours are cuter!

Wow!  You must be my "sole" sister!  I have the exact same story!  My DH and oldest son are at a basketball tournament and have spent all kinds of money on tickets and I am feeling sorry for myself that I didn't get to go anywhere so I have been shoe shopping too!  I have bought four pairs in the last week and I am also looking for the perfect wedge shoe that will go with all of my casual stuff!  That is just too funny! BTW- I found these today at Famous Footwear and I am still thinking about getting them.  They are by Carlos Santana and are on sale for 39.99 (although they are 95.00 on Zappos)...

TG: You are waaaaay better than me, I would have hit the checkout button or snatched those Santanas up in a heartbeat. Today when I was agonizing (for hours!) about getting the tangerine Aerosoles, what threw me over the edge was that checkout showed only two left. I am still trying to imagine myself wearing tangerine thongs with all my blacks, browns and olives!

The same thing actually happened with those multitoned Bandolinos, I have never had unusually colored shoes in my life but b/c they were the last pair in the store, I just HAD to have them. Now I'm living in fear that I'm going to see them on everyone in town since there were a TON of them the day before.
