Last Thursday or Friday I placed an order with Urban. I received a confirmation from them, but haven't heard anything since. I checked the order online and for status it said "Call Cust Serv."
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm pretty ticked but before I forget about the order (I really want the stuff I bought) I want to make sure that this isn't actually a normal occurrence. I've had problems with orders before but every other company has at least sent an email. I think it's pretty crappy to expect the customers to discover and fix problems on their own. Apparently my $120 isn't woth the inconvenience of an email or phone call.

i would voice this over the phone....it's a good point. i had issues with anthro. multiple times in both the store and online, i finally had it with the store, e-mailed customer service after i tried to handle the issue over the phone (i was put on hold for 15 minutes)....they sent me a $50 GC.
urban is owned by the same company as anthro...they may try to make things up to you.

i don't know what the deal is with them, but i have ordered online probably 4-5 times and every single time, a customer service rep has called me at my office to confirm that i was the person who placed the order and that i authorized it. it wasn't like i was spending thousands of dollars, either, or that i had ever had a problem with my credit card. very bizarre.
I have that problem on occasion with Anthro, and they're the same company so that would explain that. I would have to check my status to find that I need to call them. What a pain. In the instances this has happened it was for the following reasons: sending package to somewhere other than my billing, high dollar amount spent, or some kind of error w/my billing info.
I hope they didn't sell out of your stuff while they held your order...
the same thing happened to me with philosophy this week. I typed my cc# incorrectly, and I had to call them to find out what was going on -- no call, no email, nothing.
