Pizza Rolls...yum!
Permalink Closed

I got this out of my WW cookbook.

Pizza Rolls (serves 4, 5 pts. each)

1 can (10 oz) of refrigerated pizza dough...although I used refrigerated french bread dough

1/3 cup of part skim mozzarella ( actually used more like 3/4 cup...whoops)

1/4 cup cut up turkey pepperoni

1/4 cup pizza sauce

Heat over to 400, roll out dough and cut into 4 squares, layer sauce, pepperoni, and cheese on each square.  Fold in half and roll lengthwise like a jellyroll.  Coat each roll with cooking spray and cook on a sprayed cookie sheet for 15 min.

Ever had those pizza rolls from the gas station?  These taste a lot like that!  I made them tonight and loved them, so did the hubby.

oh yum. thanks for sharing. I LOVE that turkey pepperoni. Sometimes I eat it right out of the package as a snack - so not greasy like the other kind!

do you think if I put mushrooms in them that I would have to cook the mushrooms first?

One is about the size of my palm I guess.  I couldn't just eat one and be full, I usually eat two and just save 10 points for them.  If you ate one with a salad or soup though it could be a meal for sure.

By the way, I was for sure I already replied to this question....it must have not gone through when the site was messed up.

I'd put them in raw, they'd have time to soften up a little in the oven.

HELP! I made these last night & they were yummy, but I am "directionally" challenged I guess because I didn't get how I'm supposed to fold them. I ended up just folding the 4th in half, so it looked like a hot pocket if that makes sense.

So when I have the 4 rectangles - do you fold them in half long ways? Then roll like a jelly roll? I don't get how the stuff doesn't come out of it or how it doesn't end up being like 6 inches fat....

I feel so stupid......

LOL Laken!  Yeah you just fold them in half long ways and roll like a jellyroll.  Some of the sauce will want to come out and it's fine if it does, it doesn't mess it up or anything.  And they do end up being really fat and bready but I like that lol.  Don't feel stupid, I thought I did it wrong the first time too.  Put the rolls seam side down on the pan so it kinda hold all the stuff inside just because there isn't anywhere for it to go when you place it like that.  Some of the cheese kinda melts out a little too but not too much.
