Tip for a Car Detail?

Hi Guys,
Long time no chat! I've been offline quite sometime now, but I'm back and have a question for you all -

I am getting my car detailed - full detail - they even clean the engine!! It's $120.00 for the detail - what should I tip? What is the appropriate amount for a detail?

I'd love to hear your thoughts. I am getting it done Friday morning. Thanks.

really? not even at a car wash? I alwasy tip 20% - but i was recently told that is too much...

I always tip for stuff like this - they're doing a service for you, cleaning your car.  I'd give them at least 10-15%.

I think 10-15% would be fine. the last time I had my car washed I tipped between 10-15% (I can't remember)

I have tipped and not tipped on a detail.  I do it if-and only if-I am thrilled with the outcome.  Otherwise, I feel like I overpayed :P .


ETA: The time I tipped I paid $125 and tipped the guy I knew did it a $20.
