I've been playing around with the stitch, and if you recieve the stitch via e-mail, I'd like to hear your opinion on the most recent format, or any input about what could make it better.  I'm also attaching a poll - so poll answers as well as written replies would be great.

here's this week's stitch e-mail:

For me it doesn't matter because I check out the website anyway.  But, for the people who don't usually read the website having to go to the website to read the stitch might help.

I don't usualy check the website as much as the forum, so the stitch the way it is now is a good thing: it reminds me to check the web-site!

I voted to keep it the way it is.  I like it that way!

I like to click the link because it "makes" me go to the site home & I usually go back & find articles I skipped / missed the first time around. Like today I found the huge great article that Charlly did with ALL those outfits - how in the world did I miss it the first time around?

I noticed the difference when I got my weekly stitch this week. It made me wonder if there was more to the stitch on the website or if the email was the stitch. Does that make sense? I liked getting the stitch in the email itself. I thought it was kind of cool. I'm not a big fan of the "click on me to see what I have to offer" emails anyway. If I like what I see in the email, then I'll click. I don't like it the other way around. But, when it comes to ST, I'll click no matter what, so it doesn't really matter. But my vote is to have the stitch in the email. I liked it that way.

So detroit - are you really thinking about doing ST fulltime? What would that entail? If you did that, would the site become a bigger enterprise than it currently is? I've noticed the addition of the links on top of the page since you took over from dc. (I think that's an excellent way of making money for ST, btw.) I'm just curious about the potential growth of ST. I think we can take over the world! Did I say can? I meant should.

good points - I'm on the fence with it, and my feelings on putting the whole stitch in there echo your's...

in regard to doing ST full time... some good friends have been very encouraging -- unfortunately, that does not include my husband he's upset because I just got my MBA and feels it is a waste of the degree (and cost/student loans) to focus on making ST into something bigger... I disagree - I think my education is completely applicable toward running my own business.  But then I do like my expensive shoes and bags - so I would have to sacrifice the compensation I currently enjoy... yet another thing I'm on the fence about

you always could justify your shoes and bags purchasing as a business expense! write off all your shopping on your taxes....you had to buy those to perform your job as ceo/cfo/god of stylethread, right?

I asked a friend of mine who is a CFO and he didn't think I can claim apparel as a business expense.  I still beg to differ, especially if I purchased clothing to "review" it would fall within a category of a purchase required to perform my job... I think I need to ask an accountant... hello, Aurora... sending you a PM
