question about tights...
Permalink Closed

is it okay to wear black opaque tights with a full skirt, if the skirt happens to be made of black cotton? i usually feel like tights should only be worn with my winter-ish skirts (wool, denim, tweed, etc.), but this skirt is sort of a transitional one.  it's from club monaco and is one of those ones that they make all the time that are knee length and gathered all the way around the waistband, so kind of puffy.

i think i'm not explaining very well, but does this seem ok to you, or no way?

I'd do maybe a slightly sheerer, patterned tight.  It would look less 'heavy' and be more transitional than opaque black IMO.  Or maybe even a gray patterned tight would work, depending on what you wore on top?

I do wear tights with cotton skirts, but I generally wear small fishnets or some similar pattern as opposed to black tights.
