Ha- never! I can honestly say I never wore them.

me neither.  I do remember fighting over Nine West black mules with the girls I worked with at Banana Republic.  They sold out as soon as a shipment came in, so we would stalk the store, which luckily was right next door.  We even bribed them with discounts, hee. This was during the late 90's, anyone else remember those shoes?

Ha! I was just looking in my mom's closet today (I give her all my old shoes) and she STILL HAS my pair of thes, which I gave up circa 1999:

to her credit, I have never seen her wear them. Mine were not even Steve Madden -- I was too cheap.

I had the sneakers, too, around 93-94.

I had a mule version of the black ones. I think they were by Cloud Nine. I worked retail at the time and wore them nearly every day. The sole split in half, so instead of throwing them away, I wore them while doing chores around the apt. They were too comfortable. Then one day I was throwing out the trash in the alley and I stepped in something. It was mushy and wet. It looked like puke, but I didn't investigate. I just stepped out of them and tossed them in the dumpster. Then I took a shower.

I craved those Steve Madden sandals in high school (or was it middle school?)...I was so excited when my mom finally let me splurge on them. I think I wore them with an unfortunate pair of capris and flower-printed shorts.

Yep!

I did too. Both pairs.

So glad those awful middle school fashion days are over!

Hahaha hell yeh, I rocked those white shoes to death.  I think at one point I had five pair.  I don't know why.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
