Ladies I've been obsessed with these shoes since I first spotted them, and thought they'd be my birthday treat:

Leather Platform Sandals

They're about $400.  Classic style I can wear forever - or is that kind of money better spent elsewhere?  By that I mean a better-known shoe brand (Choo, Louboutin) or money towards the new bag I have in mind.
However, since I saw them online at saks I've also noticed them in two magazines, so I am afraid they'll sell out, which clearly makes me want them even more...
What do you think?  Alternatives welcome, of course...

I would say as long as you love it doesn't matter what brand they are.  They are indeed very cute.

If it was love at first sight, then by all means get them!

I think they're classic. I had a pair in a similar style from BCBGirls (of course much cheaper materials and lesser quality) that I wore for three years until the strap broke.

I also think it's really cool to support smaller designers with talent. After all, do the people at Jimmy Choo or Louboutin really need one more girl salivating over their shoes?

It is a classic style.  I think you should get them.  You will get a lot of use out of them!

I think they are very cute...

but they are still platform stacked heel shoes..so I'm not truly convinced it's timeless.

If I had to choose between getting those and a pair of Louboutins..I would go for the Louboutins..probably in the Helmut style..

I kinda prefer newer or younger desingers anyway.  Quality and styling is all that really matters, not who it's from.  I like those and think they are a great, sexy, classic shoe.  Plus, shoes that you spend that much on tend to stick around for years. I vote yes.

 Happy Birthday!
