I can’t say for sure, but it doesn’t seem like Bono attends very many Republican fundraisers. I could be wrong but I’d be surprised if he does. I think it’s fine for JS to meet the prez and lobby for her non-profit and all that jazz. I think it it’s not fine for her to go to a fundraising event, while she’s wearing her hat as a proponent for a non-profit.


 


That’s sort of a problem in this day and age isn’t it? Everyone’s getting everything all confused. It’s BAD to go to fundraisers when you represent a non-profit, a church, etc. In the current political climate, those lines have blurred so much that it seems weird when someone turns down the offer. I have no clue about JS’s political leanings (although I, too, thought she said she loves Bush) and frankly I don’t care. I’m glad people are discussing this issue and people in the public eye (like JS) are standing up and drawing their boundaries. Even if they are for a slightly dumb charitable group… (Not saying disformed children are good or anything but it seems to me hungry children might be a better priority than plastic surgery.)

Ahh, the power of the media.  I have to love it because its what i do.


Personal note/background: I am Team Lachey.


On this- I agree with Jessica. (it pains me to say so).  I am glad that more information got out about this.

And papa joe was probably just trying to combat the bad media bias. Man, he is a media nightmare lately.


I hate the fact that the Republicans wanted to use her cause.  They weren't even raising money for the cause!!!  They were raising money for politics.
