ok, so a lot of us have reached the consensus that Lucky has been sucking lately, and Shop Etc is OK for the first third, but I don't really want to read about house stuff and makeup so it's kind of a waste. Are there any decent fashion/ shopping magazines left? I'm starting to get more excited about Anthro and Saks catologues for inspiration than I am about my mags! Are there any that I'm just missing?

I agree. Shop Etc. is kinda boring because the clothing section isn't very big. I could care less about reading about makeup/hair/home. I subscribe to In Style, but I basically just like looking at the stuff and don't get very inspired. I wish there was a new magazine like Lucky was in the beginning.

i'm a dork, but my sister gets teen vogue and elle girl and i really like those magazines.  i think their clothes are more funky and a *bit* more affordable, and their looks are fresh.  it's just kinda fun to look through them.  the fashion magazines that i like are instyle and allure.  i also get lucky.  allure has a lot more articles and does have a bit of makeup and other articles, but not as many articles as vogue.

I like Marie Claire. It isn't fabulous, but it seems to have a good balance.

I like Marie Claire too!  Lately, it's the only one I've been finding things in it that I'd actually buy.  Oh and I like Glamour lately too.  I think Shop, etc sucks.

Yeah, I like Marie Claire and Glamour, I let Shop, Etc. go. I don't know how I feel about Lucky anymore, I haven't even picked up the April issue yet, nor finished reading the most recent one.

I bought the March issue of Elle (only because Lucky's April issue wasn't out yet). It was a good choice, there are lots and lots of pages of fashion.  Fun to look at, and a good mix of affordable and expensive.

I picked up the February issue of Elle Girl just because it was the ANTM issue.  For a teen mag, I was quite surprised with the amount of really expensive clothes they had.  What kind of teen has $800 to spend on a leather bag?  I never had a job during the school year, and I sure wouldn't spend nearly all my summer job money on one item!

I read both of these mags too. I like them because they suit my sensibility and I'm totally in awe of some fo the girls they feature.

The embarrassing part is that my BF reads them sometimes.

I really like elle too. When I have free time, I always go to a bookstore to flip through British Elle and British Vogue. They are both way better than the US versions, more ahead on trends too. Too bad they are so expensive or I would get subscriptions to both.
