I was wondering if there was anyone here who wears vintage clothing. If so, would you mind posting pics of how you incorporate vintage clothing into your wardrobe? Do you have any favorite vintage sites or sellers on ebay? I love vintage clothing particularly from the 70's and 80's. But I'm worried about how to incorporate vintage pieces into my wardrobe. Maybe people could post "vintage inspired" pieces as well, since the fit would probably be better than actual vintage clothing.
Consider this a vintage/vintage inspired clothing thread. Posts away!
i love vintage. most of the vintage items that i own are accessories - bags, jewelry, belts and a ton of scarves. i tend to stay away from vintage shoes, but that's just a personal thing i have about wearing old shoes. :)
since vintage is sized really differently than current pieces, i have a hard time fitting into bottoms other than a-line skirts. so i have some of those. i have a lot of vintage tops - tees, blouses, and sweaters (mostly cashmere and/or embellished from the 50s). i also have a lot of vintage blazers from the 70s and 80s. i also have a few sundresses.
here are a few outfits that i've worn using vintage pieces -
vintage skirt
vintage floral blouse
vintage top
vintage tee
i'm always on the lookout for pieces that are cute and unique but that aren't too stuck in one specific decade (like a super mod dress, bell bottoms, a hot pink puffed sleeve top, etc).

I just got a dress a few days that's old school. It is very pretty and very grecian and I'm planning on wearing it this weekend (maybe even with pictures if I'm too lazy!). I don't go out of my way to find vintage clothing though. If I happen to be in the mood, I'll try and search for something "specific" but otherwise, I don't discriminate against new and old clothes.
As for incorporating it in, put new school with old school. A beautiful fab, old school blouse with a hip, updated skirt is definitely hot. For dresses, just dress it up! Looking "vintage" doesn't have to be dated; you just have to balance things out. Alot of the Anthropologie items are vintage inspired so you could look there for inspiration.
