my bf and i are considering going camping in shenandoah nat'l park in late april/early may...has anyone been? and does anyone know what the weather will be like then?

ahhh...my old stomping grounds. I used to go to school in the area.


Virginia weather is very very bizarre, though the temps should stay between 45 - 70. I realize that's a wide range, but when I went to school there the weather is ridiculously erratic. It's almost a luck of the draw thing. I would be wearing a t-shirt and flip flops one day yet the next I would have to don a college sweatshirt and wear tights under my jeans.


I would definitely bring warmer clothes for nighttime since it is the mountains.


The area is beautiful. Have fun!
