Dizzy! will a cast iron skillet work?
Permalink Closed

Awesome article!  I am now inspired to try my hand at cooking chicken (let's hope the smoke alarm doesn't go off again!).  I was wondering, should I buy a cast iron skillet?  would that be considered a heavy bottomed skillet?  do they come with lids?  any brand recommendations?  TIA!

Thanks, laken!  This looks really helpful.  I'm guilty of reviewing the forums more than the other stuff--oops!  I need to try to do better on that, b/c I know some of you put alot of effort into these articles and it shows!

If you are looking at cast iron these are the best imo. remember to season in well first. I have both and use them in different situations.

The lodge are much more reasonably priced and traditional.

The le creuset are fancier but definitely worth it.
