What do I make of this???

Okay so some of you may remember the 45 year old guy(from the U.K) that was interested in me and that whole dilemma that I posted about a few weeks back.

Well today it will be one month since my bf broke up with me.So I was having kind of a bad day, with out even school to distract me from it (It's spring break).
So I have the week off and was laying around my apartment chilling reading a book.
So my door bell rings I go and answer it to find a flower delivery guy with this huge bouquet of flowers.
I get the flowers in my apartment and read the card.
Here it is from the guy I met a few weeks back.(the 45 year old)
The card reads:
"I know you are probably going through a tough time today and I wanted you to know that somebody cares for you.Take care of your self ."

I am just floored!
I don't know what to think right now.

girl, you best keep thinking of all the reasons that you do not want to date this guy -

he is charming, sure, but lots of older guys are - just send him a quick thank you email that is very proper and maybe even business-like.

that is all!

i don't know.. it doesn't seem like you are that into him, as you are asking what to do, so in that case i totally agree with just sending a polite thank you note and being done with it.

but i don't think it's creepy at all... from my experience studying in the UK, i noticed the guys i met (my boss, a guy my friend dated) did much nicer things than the guys i'm used to hanging out with here... and he was totally respectful in the note as well..maybe he really is just a nice guy? i mean, would someone really put that much work/money into manipulating a woman who lives in an entirely different country?!

That's really nice of him. But you aren't obligated to people because they do nice things for you. Thank him, be polite, and be glad he's a country away so you don't have to deal with him everyday.

It's always nice to have a few nice gestures when we're going through something tough. Just be careful not to make them something more than they are. Good luck!
