Believers?

I am not sure how many on this site believe in God or are religious in any way, I know many are, but this isn't so much about God and weather or not you beleive, but that I beleive that my family being is protected and watched over by him.

The other day I got up and left for work.  I wasn't really tired, just normally how I would be at 8am.  It was sunny and warm in the car and I guess I was just in a daze because I ran a red light. Not a yellow/turning red light, a red light.  I realized what I had done when a car had to swerve (sp?) not to hit me.  There just happened to be a cop nearby and saw everything and he pulled me over.  By the time he got to my car I was shaking and crying like a freak!  He felt bad and was like "obviously you did that on accident, I won't take your liscense away, but I have to give you a ticket, be more careful and get some coffee!"  Well, that freaked me out enough and I was so thankful no one got hurt.

Two days later my husband was coming home at about 10:30 at night.  When he came home he was pale white.  He said that as he was driving over a small hill and someone coming in the other direction was passing about 3 cars in a NO PASSING ZONE and was headed right for him.  He said he slammed on his breakes and accidentally pushed his car into neutral and his car slid sideways back and fourth a couple times and he thought he was either going to get hit head on or slide down into a ditch possibly rolling his car, but neither happened and he was ok.  He said then the car passed ANOTHER car as if nothing happened (he must have been drunk!)  If my husband had been hit by this person or had someone behind him who would have hit him when he slammed on his breaks and slid like that, he would have been killed.  Just writing this now makes me tear up at the thought of it.  That night I could have been a widow at 25 after 1 & 1/2 years of marriage from some asshole who hit my husband on some random night.

We are both pretty religious people, don't go to church as much as we should, not "bible bangers" (pardon the term) by any means, but have close relationships with God and a lot of spirituality which I think makes our marriage even stronger.  I thank God every chance I get for all of our blessings and ask him to protect my family and loved ones.  I hate to use the phrase "that really paid off" about something pertaining to God, but I feel that from these 2 instances God truly spared my family and I am so thankful and believe even more how precious life is and how short it can be.  I just wanted to share.

Driver's like that anger me!  On the news last week there was some guy speeding in and out of traffic just because he wanted to get to where he was going NOW!  He ended up clipping a car and forced it into oncoming traffic!  Inside that car was a woman with an infant in the back seat!  They were definintly being watched over.  I think the lady had minor injuries and that baby was unharmed.
