some key accessories to have in a wardrobe? I feel so boring with what I wear, I look at myself and I feel so blah. Is like I don't know how to dress myself anymore, any help?
I'm working on becoming a better accessorizer, myself. I think wardroble staples are cool belts, fun necklaces (beaded or with chunky stones) and classic jewelry (a nice watch, diamond studs, etc....stuff you'll want to wear every day.)
Its just seems that when I wear the cool necklace, or belt, or any piece of jewelry I just look like I blend in with everybody else. I dress too matchy, I would like to have that fashion sense that alot of the girls on here have.
throw your jewelry in a big pile on your bed and with your eyes closed, pull out three pieces. ten bucks that it will look awesome together.
seriously, the next time you put an outfit together and that voice in your head says, "eh, i don't know", just ignore it. that voice in there is "miss normalcy" and nobody wants to talk to her.
if you're starting out a jewelry collection or something like that, take yourself down to claires or a similar type store and just walk around. give yourself a certain amount to spend, say 30 bucks, and just throw stuff in your basket until you hit the amount. don't think about it, just walk around the store grabbing stuff.
something else that ive found that has helped me, is actually to go through people's old threadstyle posts on here. there are certain people that i feel do the non-matchy really well. just take a couple of minutes to peruse old postings. it really helps.
basically, what im saying is to just go with the flow and let that inner stylist out. i know she's in there somewhere. the next time you put on some accesories and you feel too matchy, take one thing off and replace it with it's exact opposite. instead of the purple necklace, try the yellow cuff. or instead of the brown leather belt, try the pink satin scarf.

Awesome RelRel!!!!!! I know my "inner stylist" is in me somewhere. I remember in the beginning of my college years (2 or 3 years ago) I use to wear an outfit and get tons of compliments. Hopefully I can get back into that mode soon!
I get tons and tons of wear out of my giant diamond and giant pearl earrings. They're (obviously) fake but they pull an entire outfit together. I could be wearing jeans and a grey tshirt but if I have my pearls on, I look so much cuter.

I think you should pick up a few colorful scarves. You can use them as belts, tie them around your neck, or tied to your purse to add a little bit of an accent. Places like TJ Maxx, Steinmart, Marshalls, Ross, etc usually have a pretty good selection for cheap.
