Carmenb513- I love the brown gap coat you purchased. How thick is it? I wanted one from JCrew, but they didn't have the color I wanted.

Thanks!

I went to Target this morning and couldn't resist these (thanks, jamiek!):

Juniors’ Mossimo® Red: Tie-Waist Shorts - Golden BrownJuniors’ Mossimo® Red: Tie-Waist Shorts - Pioneer Sageand in white

Mossimo® Red: Juniors' Long Lean Tank Top EbonyMR Jnrs' Long Lean Tank Top Wash RedMossimo® Red: Juniors' Long Lean Tank Top WhiteJuniors' Mossimo® Long and Lean Tank - Heather Grayand in green

Mossimo® Terry Cloth Pants - White

Ipanema Set of 6 Printed Dinner PlatesIpanema Printed Salad Plates - Set of 6to use as little serving plates

And, unfortunately, I took the plunge into the Mom set and purchased this:

I'm very sad, because I need all the help I can get to not look dorky ; and this ain't doin' it!  However, I did get it loaded w/ leather, Nav, DVD, and woodgrain interior.  And it's a darker tan than is pictured.  I couldn't find another SUV like my suburban that was smaller AND better on gas mileage.  BOO!    *sigh*

So I went a little crazy with the dresses at Target...

and these shoes:

I'm wearing the first brown dress and the sandals today with the biggest beaded hoop earrings you've ever seen.  I feel very Roman, haha.  I highly recommend these knit dresses.  They're so freakin comfortable and flattering.  Plus, they run biggish so it feels all kinds of awesome buying a size smaller.  Ha!

I'm glad to see there is another minivan driver on this board.  I was like you, I did everything I could not to "take the plunge" but I have to say, I absolutely love mine.  I am actually jealous of you that you have the souped up version-I am getting that package next time even if I do end up listening to Barney everytime I take a drive with the kids-it'll be worth it!

Which day did you go? I went Saturday morning and while I did well, there were things that sold out like the Talla thermals. I also didn't see the 12th street dress.

Did you get the Petro Zilla blazer that was tweed and velvet? I was drooling and trying to resist so hard when I saw it.

I had one before around 4 years ago but just.couldn't.take.the.dorkiness.  It lasted 3 months.  I'm sure I'll love the roominess and all the features, but I'm just so sad that it has come to this!  I told my hubby that, if I had to drive a toaster, then it at least better be loaded to the hilt!  I guess it's time I accepted my boring old mom status, though, since I have 3 kids and want a 4th in the next year.

Glad to hear a van driver actually likes it.  Maybe there's hope!  Why can't Hummers be fuel efficient???!!!!!!

Speaking of fuel efficiency, my hubby traded in his BMW for this:

dorky on the outside, but cool and space-age on the inside.  And the 60mpg doesn't hurt!

So, in the course of 7 days we've gone from Suburban Z71 and BMW 330i to a Honda Odyssey and Prius.  Wow.
