favorite spring transition looks?
Permalink Closed

I'm in such a rut right now. It's nice out, but not nice enough for full out spring slothes and I have no idea what to wear. I have no inspiration and my wardrobe is so stale.

can you all post some looks that you're liking right now and/or some pieces that I could pick up to freshen my ourfits up a bit? I was just browsing style.com and couldn't fins a single thing that I even wanted to bother doing a look for less on.

I looove this from Dan V's Project Runway show:

Daniel Vosovic - Project Runway Fall 2006 - Season 2

It's sort of hard to tell here, but it was a pretty purple l/s tee with a navy shearling vest, and a white pleated skirt.

ETA:  Sooo bored that I recreated it:

I like the idea of a button down cardigan and a cute skirt for transitional dressing.

Knit Bubble Skirt

Or a chiffon dress/skirt with the same kind of cardigan, plus tights and t-strap shoes.

lately i've been doing a lot of spring tops (tees and short sleeve blouses) over thin long sleeve tops. it makes me feel more springy even though i'm still dressing pretty warmly.

i also like to pair thinner cotton pants in springier colors with heavier cardigans.

and i've been boycotting the cold weather by wearing some of my new spring shoes with patterned socks.

i wish i could do the pre-spring skirt looks, but for some reason i can't seem to wear skirts without some sort of tights/stockings until it's at least 60 out. :)

I like:

folding fan vest

This sweater from is Anthro is good because you can do a long or short sleeve top underneath or even a jacket over it.  I like it with khaki for spring and white for summer.  Very versatile.

This from Banana.  Also versatile because you can layer it easily.

These V-necks from Banana are the best.  They are comfortable and wash very well.  They are also the perfect weight.

I bought this twinset in navy and love it!  Again, very versatile and just the perfect weight.

I think a classic trench is the perfect transitional piece.

Rain Guard

You gotta have a good umbrella too!
