i am going to chicago at the end of the month for my bf's parents retirement party.. what are some fun places to shop? i have been there before but never really had time to hang out in the city. this time we are staying downtown and have our days free. anyone know the best time to get popcorn?

She is talking about Garrett's, where you can get the best caramel corn (and others) in the world.  I won't eat anything else it is so good.  As for the best time, maybe right when they open?  I pass the store on Michigan Ave everyday and people are always waiting.

sorry guys i had forgotten about this thread.. yes i meant garrett's! it's soooo good but i'm always waiting in line for like 30-45 minutes. i love the caramel.. have not tried the others but i am sure they are all delicious. it's hard not buying the giant bucket after waiting in line for close to an hour!!

Just hit up Michigan Ave - it has all the stores you could ever want, some call it the "Miracle Mile"!
