I think its fun, probably a little tacky but fun. I don't see anything wrong with letting go every once in a while! On Saturday where I live we are having our annual Pub Crawl and believe me we all dress a little tacky for the day, for example I will be breaking out the tote that i tie-dyed green. I would probably do it if a lot of people were doing it, it would depend on the culture of the place I was working. where I work now, I wouldn't participate b/c nobody else would.
I wouldn't, but I'm also that girl who refusedsto wear green for st. patricks. I wear blue instead. blue being the national color of Ireland and all.... and a self directed eyeroll
Uh yeah! It's the perfect excuse to buy this DVF wrap dress!!!
Girl, you kid!!!!!
I emailed the person coordinating the contest and she said there's just a prize. No idea what...but this a company that likes to give away season tickets to their employees so I'm guessing it can't be that bad.
I think I'm going vintage shopping this weekend on Melrose...if I find a cute kelly green dress I'll probably wear it.
at one point in my life, yes. I am Irish and I went through a serious "Irish-pride" period in middle school. Allow me to entreat you to my outfit on March 17, 1992...
-white jeans
-bright green T-shirt
-plastic (!!!) green and white vest with shamrocks all over it
-green sandals
-toenails painted green (this was before the colored-nailpolish era, so I colored them with marker and then put clear nail polish over them. It took MONTHS to get it off)
-green plastic derby hat that caused my already awkward haircut to look worse
and the kicker...I carried a plastic pennant flag that said "proud to be Irish" ALL DAY.
I can't believe my mom let me out of the house. I dread St Patrick's Day now, because it's such an awful memory!

I'm really cynical about work right now. My first thought was that it is one of those lame attemps by management to boost morale and make work seem fun. I probably wouldn't participate because I'm a party-pooper, but I don't think it's tacky.
I can't believe I just used the term "party pooper."
