I, too, need to be better about posting questions b/c I really enjoy reading these threads when I have time. let's see:
favorite magazine?
favorite place to shop?
favorite thing in your closet?
I too am super-curious about your screen name.
This is random--Do you believe in ghosts? I just saw the Exorcism of Emily Rose and am all freaked out by it, and by that ghostly mirror post. Also, I'm thinking your SN is another word for ghost or something??
Yayyyyyyyyyyyy!!! Thanks for nominating me Liz! I have to say my heart skipped a beat when I saw I had been nominated.
1. I noticed in your TS posts that you take pictures of your outfits at work sometimes. What kind of work do you do?
I work for a small (22 in office) company that is an architect and general contractor (and more recently food development) for high-end gourmet grocery stores in the Bay Area and Northern California. We have done all the Whole Foods stores in the area. I am the receptionist and admin in general, but also am sort of the assistant to the accounting department.
2. If you won $10,000 and could only spend it on shoes, bags, OR clothes, which would you choose?
This is really hard. I think I might have to say bags though. That would probably work out to be 10 bags though
3. What was your favorite cereal growing up? What's your favorite now?
Although my mom didn't allow sugary cereals all the time, my favorite was Cinnamon Toast Crunch. That probably still is my favorite sugary cereal. You can never go wrong with Cheerios or Wheat Chex though.
4. Do you consider yourself an extrovert or an introvert?
Introvert. I've never been a "life of the party" kind of outgoing person. I am okay being by myself, but of course I always enjoy the company of others I like/love. I'm pretty shy around people I don't know, but not in the working environment, just the going to parties type of thing.
5. Are you OCD about anything unusual? (Like having to have all the labels on your cans facing out, magazines alphabatized, etc.)
Ahhh... let me count the ways. I am a very neat and organized person, so it's hard to pin down one thing in particular. One thing though... when people luse the microwave and leave it blinking at "2 seconds left" or whatever it drives me nuts that they don't press clear/off.

dude, what's up with your screen name? please explain the zeitgeist reference and the four. please.
Well, it came from my e-mail address back in high school and it just kind of stuck as my screen name in various places, since it's not exactly the most common one. I got the word zeitgeist from a song I liked in high school (I listened to industrial from Germany mostly). It's a word in the dictionary and everything, but it comes from German: "zeit" means time and "geist" means spirit. So it means spirit of the time, or "the taste and outlook characteristic of a period or generation." I just like saying it, and I think it has a cool meaning too. The "4" was because I needed a number to go with it, and I don't have a fave number, so I used my brother's fave number.
and i would just like to comment that the Z4 you use as a post topic in the treadstyle heading makes me laugh. tee hee, the Z4...that's a car!
Yeah, I know, I think of the car too!

what are five handbags that you would love to have in your collection?
Rather then showing bags, I will list bag designers that I really like in general (it would be too hard to pick specific bags). So one from each of these designers. Gucci Marc Jacobs Jimmy Choo Botkier Dolce & Gabanna
who's your favorite ready to wear designer?
Michael Kors
who's your favorite runway designer?
I actually don't pay much attention to runway designers. I'm familiar with all the names and everything, but I could't tell the difference between a Gucci dress or a Prada dress. Show me a bag though, and I could probably tell you who designed it.
do you have a dog? if so what kind?
Yes, I have a dog named Pearl. She is supposedly a McNabb Collie, but I think she is a Border Collie/Black Lab mix. She is 9 years old, but you would never guess she is old (except for some graying around the muzzle). I love her to death.
what's your favorite place to vacation?
New York. I've been there twice and I love it. I'm more of a city girl than a mountain/beach sort of girl.

I came, I saw, I did a little shopping.
Hmmm... probably just goofing around with my brother. We used to go with my dad to his office on the weekend sometimes, and you would not believe how much amusement we got out of the rolling office chairs and white boards!
Where do you live?
I live in San Carlos, CA. It's pretty much right between San Francisco and San Jose.
Fave thing to do on your days off?
Usually shopping is involved. Not necessarily buying, but looking. Watching movies, looking at magazines, spending time with my dog. As I said above in one of the questions, I'm an introvert, so it's mostly "hanging out" kinds of things.
Do you like to dance? If so to what kind of music?
I'm not into dancing, so there goes that whole question!
Any siblings?
Yes, one brother named Ben. He is two years younger than me (he's 22). Although we grew up together and everything, we're not super close. He is one of those guys that doesn't really offer a lot of information, you have to dig it out of him, so therefore I don't know him all too well.
What was yourdream growing up? Did you accomplish it?
I didn't really have any dreams per se, just the usual "I want to be a teacher or a veternarian" sort of thing. I never had something in mind that was my "destiny" or whatever.

I came, I saw, I did a little shopping.
I counted a couple months ago, but I don't remember the total. Plus, I've bought more in those few months. I would say approximately 15 in my "regular rotation" pile, and maybe about 10-15 more in my "older, still cute, but don't use much" pile.
Favorite game show?
I'm not really into game shows. I do like the SNL skits where they make fun of Celebrity Jeopardy though!
Most embarssing moment?
Hmmm. There isn't one single thing that pops out in my head (not that I haven't been embarassed before).
If you could only shop at one store, which one would it be?
I would have to pick a "department" store (so shoes and bags would be included), probably Nordstrom.
What's your favorite piece of clothing you'd die if something happened to?
Argh, these are tough questions! I don't think there is one clothing item that I would die without. It like my clothes, but nothing so special/or expensive where I would be heartbroken. I don't spend a lot of money on any one item of clothing. Maybe it would be this one dress I have, since it's probably my most expensive clothing item (not incuding leather jacket, boots, and bags). It was under a $100 though.
BTW, I miss your old avatar! It was soooo cute!
I'm assuming you're talking about the little puppy butt? I like changing my avatar every month or so, so the puppy will be back eventuallly.

It's a toss up between a plum/raspberry sort of shade and teal. I love those two together.
Are you book worm? if so what kind of books do you like
I get in moods where I don't want to read books. So no, I wouldn't say I'm a book worm. When I do feel like reading books it is usually entertaining chick-lit stuff (nothing serious). I really liked The Nanny Diaries.
Would you change your hair color? If so what color would you go with?
I have had my hair almost every color of the rainbow: blonde, pink, red (as in apple red, not redhead red), green, blue, purple, brunette, auburn. Prettymuch everything except black. The crazy colors were back in middle school and high school, now I stick to my natural color (dark blonde or light brown, not sure) with highlights. Occasionally I will go a darker brown for fall/winter).
Where do you live now? Do you like it? Where did you grow up?
The answer to these questions are the same. San Carlos, CA. And yes, I like it here.

It's still Lucky, even though it's not as good as it used to be.
favorite place to shop?
Honestly, probably Old Navy or someplace like that. I love a bargain!
favorite thing in your closet?
Well this isn't clothing, but it IS in my closet: my down throw. I love that thing. It's the perfect size to cover my neck to my toes when I'm laying down. I couldn't survive without it.
I too am super-curious about your screen name.
see the answer to relrel's question above
This is random--Do you believe in ghosts? I just saw the Exorcism of Emily Rose and am all freaked out by it, and by that ghostly mirror post. Also, I'm thinking your SN is another word for ghost or something??
I don't disbelieve, but I don't necessarily believe either. It's one of those things where I'm not ruling it out, but I haven't experienced anything ghostly, so I can't say they exist.
Favorite city to visit? favorite city to live?
probably New York for both. I would love to live there someday, not for the rest of my life though. I'm a Cali girl, so I think I'd probably be outta there after one winter! I passed through Santa Barbara briefly in September, and I have to say I'm going back again sometime. They have some great stores there.
favorite thing to bake/cook?
One time at Borders I was looking at the cheapie book section and there was a cookbook all about baking. I have found some of the best recipes in there. There's this blueberry coffee cake stuff that's really good, as well as these chocolate brownie cookie things.
favorite alcoholic drink?
I don't drink alcohol, but I like virgin Pina Coladas!
favorite food?
Number one favorite? FRENCH FRIES!! As far as "real" food, probably Mexican. Oooh, burritos and fajitas... yum!

This. Is. Too. Hard. It's hard picking favorites!! Maybe Long Life Noodle Company. I love spicy food, and they have some yummy kung pao chicken stuff, and pad thai (I'm a sucker for peanut sauce) and springrolls.
Favorite movie?
American Beauty. I told that to a co-worker and he said, "you realize what that's about, right? A guy going through a mid-life crisis and getting killed?" Close behind are "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" (you can't beat a glam-rock musical about a German transgendered person, can you?) and The Breakfast Club.
Do you have a crush on someone famous?
There are a few. From the selection you will see the kind of guy I find attractive. Mark Ruffalo and Gael Garcia Bernal are probably the top two. I feel like I'm forgetting someone important though. Some more are Jake Gyllenhaal, Oded Fehr and Topher Grace. In general, dark hair and dark eyes, and somewhat quirky/laid back.

It would be fun to own a little clothing boutique. And I would make jewelry and sell it at the boutique.
What's one thing you're most proud of?
Probably getting out of college in 4 years, without a guidance counselor helping me. Lots of people I know took longer to complete their BA, not just because their major required more classes or anything. And I never found guidance counselors helpful (some never even showed up to the appointments I made with them). I went to junior college after high school, then transfered to a four-year school, without a counselor helping me decode what would transfer, etc.
What's one characteristic you'd like to change about yourself?
I would like to be more outgoing in terms of meeting new people and being comfortable in groups of people I don't know.
What did you major in?
I majored in Communication, with a minor in Sociology (go figure!). I was never sure what I wanted to major in, so I picked something I enjoyed learning and didn't worry about what kind of jobs it would lead to. Lots of people find a carreet that's a 180 from their major anyway.
How old are you?
24. In a few weeks it will be 24 and a half.
What's your favorite pizza topping? Probably pepperoni. I prefer the kind of pizza that has the white creamy garlic sauce though. The red sauce is too tangy sometimes.
