What's the deal with purseforum.com.  I stumbled upon it - are any of you on that forum?

I clearly don't feel I belong there - my most spendy bag is a toss up between Cole Haan & Coach and I am still a happy person! Everyone is so welcoming here.  There just wasn't the same geniune friendly vibe as here, but I didn't want to form an unfair opinion on my first look.

Do you all have opinions or experiences?

I've had that a few times on other forums where I feel like it is too fashion forward/haute couture for me. I felt out of my league and had nothing to contribute or in common with them. Here we talk about American Eagle as much as we talk about Marc Jacobs, Its alot more comfortable for those (like me) who can't drop a huge amount of cash on their wardrobe.

Also I hate when forums are full of ads or not properly moderated so there is racist/sexist/just plain disgusting spam.

I can't say it enough: I love it here and I'm so fond of all of you.

I am on there sometimes... the girls are very knowledgable in terms of handbags and I like to browse there for that reason. Their Marketplace works like our Ebay link but they have great bags on there...

But yes, ST is more my style. I have a feeling a lot of gals on there don't have to work or are alot older...

Sorry if this is anybody but, come on!  This is one of the posts I took a look at...

"My bf is starting a new business, when it gets on its way and he sells a few new homes that he is building he said he will buy me a birkin. He promised to take me to Monte Carlo in the summer of 2007 , his family friends own a yatch the size of a cruise ship there, there are plenty of Birkins out there, hope to get one soon. My bf's grandfather also travels to Ukraine and around Europe for business so when I am ready to get one I will get one from one of the Hermes stores there. Oh wait and my parents are going to Germany ins October , perhaps I will ask them. I am willing to wait a little, but I am very excited to have one."

My eyes are rolling so much I am dizzy!  It is not necessary to put in all those tidbits.  It's like she is trying to prove people she has a good monetary life!

How and the hey are your bag's 'missing'???   Seems funny to be 'missing' multiple designer bags.   And I thought I had shallow moments.  I guess I have a life beyond handbags

Yeah Stylethread girls... You are all so nice and normal.

I post there sometimes (usually in the LV topic) but yeah it's pretty intimidating at first. I'm sure with all boards people warm up after a while. ;)

Yes this is intersting, because if this person really did have these bags I'm sure she would have went to great lengths to make sure everybody got to really see them on the forum!  If you don't have the bags, missing or not, why even mention them?

I have a nice shoe collection and sometimes I forget about pairs I have. Until I'm actually going through them, am I reminded. So all I'm saying is it isn't impossible that she can't remember every single purse she has (what a nice luxury!).

Ugh!  Vomit!  I'm glad this forum has much more down to earth people.
