So did anyone watch this new show on TLC last night? Basically it follows 11 women in NYC on their online dating adventures - just cameras, not setups like on Blind Dates. The women are just dating online as they usually would and the dates are filmed, as are other areas of their lives - work, talking with their friends, etc. I got really sucked in... (ok, it is sort of sad that I was in on a friday instead of out on my own dates, but I never go out on Fridays - too tired!)

I felt bad for the one chick who got dumped by the record label guy. He wasn't so cute, but he did a great job of acting like there was chemistry when he later claimed there wasn't. It's sort of fascinating and reassuring to see what other go through in their dating lives.

I haven't seen it, but I hope they play it again. I've been thinking of online dating (as I do every few months and never seem to end up doing it) and would like to see how it works out for other people. Was it successful for most of them?

We got to see the ups and downs - one girl has zero luck and we saw her awful dates (guys who lie in their profile, lick their figners at dinner, etc) but other girls who met guys they really liked and dated a few times. I guess we'll see as this goes on if anyone met "the one." Being TLC, you can bet they'll rerun it a zillion times.

Online dating can be fun, and I just dated a guy for 3 mos. I met online. Give it a try, but be careful! People do lie (usually age or if they have kids, in my experience), but others genuinely have good intentions.

Oh, it's a series? Cool, I will look up when it is playing and then we can discuss it next time.

Well guys I meet through work, bars, etc., do that, too, so I guess I have nothing to lose, right?

I saw it and I'm so happy I don't have to go through all that! Good show though...

I saw it too. It was pretty interesting. I felt bad for that girl who had no luck. She was pretty I don't know why she can't get a man.

Ahhhhh dc, you beat me to the punch yet again! LOL Good to see you again. Yes, I was determined to watch this show lastnight, I wasn't going to at first, but w/all the advertising they did about, I said why not?! LOL I also felt bad for the girl that got dumped by that guy w/the CRAZY Elvis sideburns, he played her, in my opinion. He even had me fooled, damn men. LOL And the salon manager, she WAS very pretty, but her luck w/the guys she went out with really was bad, esp. the guy who's pic. was from fifteen years ago! That was just wrong! Looks like it'll be pretty good next week, so I'll be right there watching it.
