Are you a belt person- are you not? Will you incorporate them into your wardrobe- being the "trend" for spring is to accent the waist?

I have always loved belts, but have never really worn them as high on the waist as I have seen done in the magazines as of late- just below the rib cage. But I do have a few that are wider, bigger, that I can do this with. So, I am going to try it.

Have one very similar to this , but it is fabric covered canvas and has primary colors in a bold geometric pattern-my mom gave it to me. She had worn it in the 80's!Pleated Leather Belt - Camel

And one similar to this, but not patent leather- more matte in black with a large gold buckle. I really like how they have the look pictured with a fitted skirt, a feminine blouse, kind of a retro feel.

For those of you who are into the look- post pictures of how you would like to put your outfits with belts together.

I like belts a lot- on other people. I don't know, I just feel like they make me look 3 size larger than I am, no matter what the size of them is, unfortunately.
The look of them up high on the waist can look really chic, though.

I don't know. I like them but I a very "hippy" person (frame, not state of mind), so I'm always of the mind that they'll accentuate my larger than average thighs, which is not something I want. I definitely can't wear the low, hip-slung belts. I thought about it but then I saw a girl wearing one and she had a booty but nothing as substantial as mine and she looked huge! So I knew that was a bad idea.

What body shape is the high belt best for? I'm clueless about things like this.

Well I read an article just recently that if you are curvy that you should not wear the low- slung ones- this only accentuated the size of the hips. But,you can wear the larger, wider ones that come right across the waist - this being the perfect accent for the more voluptious figure. They also said the more petite you are- the smaller, thinner the belt. The larger you are the higher you should wear on your waist, and the wider the belt can be.
