Aurora is my new Netflix friend, but I want more! We can recommend movies to each other and see what the other person thought of the movie. I think the more friends on Netflix we have the better. If you are interested, PM me your e-mail address and I will add you!

You have to go into a page of a movie I commented on. Some I can think of right now are Love Actually, Waiting, and the Notebook.

Search for them by name and instead of saying "add" it will say "save." I usually keep a watch on them and then when it comes out with a release date and moves to my queue, I move it to the top of the queue so I get it right away. Let me just say, I LOVE this feature. So many times I see a commercial for a movie that is coming out in the theater and I know I'm not going to see it in the theater (love movies, hate movie theaters) and will probably forget about it. So then I add it and know I will get to see it.

ahh.  i need to start doing that then.  I never go to the movies anymore.  Netflix is much cheaper.  I got so bored yesterday I made a spreadsheet of the movies I have at home so I don't put them in my netflix queue.  Yes I'm that nerdy.

is there a benefit for doing this? like free movies if you refer X friends? I've been thinking about joining, I'm just concerned that I can't even get through my tivo let alone movies...

You should definitely join. There are lots of options to choose from. You can have anywhere from 1-10 movies out at one time depending on the plan you pick. If I refer you, I don't get anything, but you get a 2 week trial membership. You can actually get this anyway just by going to their website.


The friends feature we are talking about is actually something you can do only when you are already a member. It allows you to recommend movies, share your tastes in movies, and write little messages to tell your friends what you thought of the movie.
