Need advice...buyer asked...

Disclaimer: I am seriously grouchy because of PMS...and I have had a hectic week, so maybe I am overreacting. ALSO...i did post the auctions on here, so if it happens to be one of you...please don't be offended (let me know you are from here and I would definitely work with you).

Okay, so I had some kids items listed for 5 day auctions.  For this one particular auction, I had one bidder.  She bid with at least 2 days left and then won the auction.  In the auction I specify that I ship  USPS Priority for $5.  The auction ended and AFTER it ended...she emails me asking if I can reduce the shipping by shipping parcel post.

Now, while I probably can ship parcel post cheaper...I am totally annoyed that she didn't ask me (1) before bidding or (2) at least before it ended.

I really prefer priority mail b/c the packaging is free for me.  I thought about telling her that I only ship priority, but that I think it can fit in a flat-rate envelope which is $4.05.

How should I respond to her?

Option 1) NO! You knew my policy and didn't ask before it ended! - but as politely as possible

Option 2) OK - you suck, but no harm done! - as politely as possible

Option 3) compromise...I will shove it in a flatrate envelope for $4.05

You can turn the priority envelope wrong-side out and send it parcel that way.  If you ship it thru paypal, you can estimate how much it will be to ship it.

you don't need to accomodate her unless you are feeling really charitable. but i wouldn't. if you give her a firm no, thats not my policy and i was clear about this... etc. chances are she will be cool with that.

UPDATE:

I checked out the price for shipping parcel post from my zipcode to hers, and it was only $1 difference.  I thought $5 was pretty fair from the beginning, especially for priority.

So, I told her if she wanted it shipped parcel post she'd have to pay actual shipping + the cost of the box I'd have to go buy to send it...we'll see what she says to that.
