I don't think this sounds bad at all, but it's totally understandable that your BF is anxious to hear more! We've all been there and it's so agonizing when you really want a job and haven't heard anything. If the guy is interviewing 25 people, then he is probably still in the first round. I think it would be fine for your BF to email the person he interviewed with, although I might wait until this coming Monday so it's been two full weeks. I'd say something like "I just wanted to reiterate to you how much I enjoyed our meeting on XXX date, and say how much I'd like to work with you at XXX. I know I would do a great job for you and think my talents are a perfect fit with this gym." Something along those lines -- i.e., don't forget about me, I'm the one you want to hire!

That is a lot of interviewing if they are hiring 25 people, so maybe they aren't finished yet. Didn't he give a date when to expect to hear from him? Twenty-five positions seems like a sure thing that your going to get the job but not everyone will be selected even if they think they did well.

I've had interviews which I was sure I was going to get the job, since I was well qualified and had experience but didn't get because they selected somebody they already know or somebody they want to be friends with. Around here, if you don't have connections, you don't get a job.

Hey girls - no, he hasn't heard yet. He is going to email the guy he interviewed with today - just to follow up and keep his name fresh in his mind. I'm like you Cortney, I think since he's hiring 25 people, my BF has a good shot and maybe the guy is just still interviewing? Obviously, there's a chance he won't get the job, but I don't want to think that!!
