I just bought the sweater with the white stripes, but already own the crochet style.  They are the same blue color, the same length, the same sleeve length, and can probably be worn with the same things. But, of course, I want the one with white stripes too.  What should I do?

I voted return, because I think the crochet one is prettier and more unique.  Plus, you will probably find another sweater in the next 1-2 months that could add more variety to your spring wardrobe.

i love the striped sweater but based on what you've said (mainly that you'd wear it with the same things) i vote to return it. whenever i have two very similar items in my closet i always play favorites to one of them leaving the other just hanging around, waiting it's turn. if i'm lucky it'll still have the tags on it and the reciept will be close by.

That's a tough call.  Maybe see if you can make at least a couple different outfits for each, to make sure they'll be used.  If not, then return one.
