Hair Dryer
Permalink Closed

I have been toying with buying an expensive one and wanted some good recs and if it is worth it. My life changed when I was passed down a Paul Brown flat iron from my mom and I am wondering if a good hair dryer would do the same. My hair is really long right now and very, very thick. It takes so long to dry right now and I hardly ever wear it down because it takes so long to do. I have to blow dry, straighten, then run a curler through it to not have the stick straight ends. Also should I invest in a good brush too? TIA!

I was skeptical at first, but I just got a T3 dryer at Christmas and it has changed everything. I have long, thick, wavy/borderline curly hair and it's a pain to dry. The T3 makes it so much easier and smoother. Even when I do a crappy job drying it, it still looks better than it ever did before. And takes a lot less time. The T3 also comes with a 4-year warranty, so if you add up how much you'd probably spend on a regular dryer in those years, it's not that expensive. I also think a good round brush is absolutely key. I don't even know the brand of the one I have, but I think I'd paid like $40 for it seven or eight years ago and I still use it! A good wooden round brush will do wonders for your hair- for me, it makes it soft and smooth, but not too flat (that nice curl on the ends that you're looking for!). HTH!

i love love love the babyliss hair dryer.  it's the best IMO.  i went to a top hair salon in philly who sold both the T3 and the babyliss and they recommended the babyliss.  MUA has high ratings for both though.

Love my Chi...when I pick up my cheapo Vidal sasoon (they're both black) by mistake I'm almost compelled to toss it out the window (can't though what if my Chi grows legs or somethin')Wouldn't use anything but now.Totally worth the chips

I agree! Chi is the only way to go, definitely worth the money. It's the only kind that my mom will use in her salon. I can so tell the difference between my Chi and my old dryer (I think it was an Ion or something??). My hair is delicate and slightly processed (hush kari) and the Chi is perfect!!

The T3 is fantastic.  Super light weight and I know plenty of people with long thick hair that it cut their dry time in more than 1/2.  I know Sephora sells the T3

Also, if you are looking for a great round brush- the Marilyn brushes are by far the best out there IMO.  you should be able to find them at Ulta or Trade Secret!

Meant to put this before- thanks to Crystal's post a couple of months ago, I got my T3 through baycitiesbeautystore.com for 20 percent off. So it was only $160, as opposed to the normal $200...

I also have a Chi and I adore it!  I have really thick, long hair and it really speeds up my drying time.  It's well worth the money.

I adore my T3. I have long thick, straight hair that takes forever to dry. I was skeptical at first, and then my hairdresser used it on me and it does make a difference. It really does dry my hair much faster than conventional blowdryers, there is less static afterwards and my hair is smoother.
