I think this is probably a joke...if they really registered somewhere, wouldn't the list be blocked from just anyone being able to look it up?

I think this is probably the case.  Who, except for dignitaries, royals and such, registers for 24 place settings?  $44,000 worth of flatware?  Probably not... they just don't seem like the type.  Especially not twenty-somethings.  Plus, I never heard they were engaged, either.  People set up fake registries on weddingchannel all the time.  I have seen real ones, and it is interesting.  I think Tori Spelling's was up before her wedding (the first one), and I have to admit that I sneaked a peek!

I don't see how this would be real.  Why would they register for gifts anyways?  If they needed these things, they could buy them.  I thought the place settings for 24 is quite excessive!  I could only imagine if these two actually had 24 people over it would be for a barbeque that calls for plastic plates not fancy dishes.
