Rigid vs. stretch jeans?
Permalink Closed

Hi guys,

I just bought Earnest Sewn jeans in the Hefner cut, but they are 100% cotton (rigid). I got a size 28 in them, and I wear a size 28 in stretch Paper Denim and Cloth jeans (which are made by the same designer).

So, will these stretch out more than my usual stretch Paper Denim jeans? Should I wash them in hot water to make them shrink so they'll fit tighter? I've only had jeans with stretch, so I don't know what to do!

I need your advice. Thanks in advance!

In my experiences rigid jeans run smaller and I have to size up a size in them.  And they stretch, but not as much as my stretch jeans.

So, should I treat them any differently than my stretch jeans? I usually wash them in cold water and tumble dry on low.

Oh, and the rigid jeans I bought fit perfectly now. Will they change for the worse with wear?

You should be fine washing them in cold and tumble dry on low, but if they shrink too much the first time, just air dry them from then on out.
