I wasn't sure where to post this, but I guess it fits best in here...


So brief update first:  An old high school chum is back in town for a few months, and we've sort of started seeing each other in the last week.  He's cute, always has been, and he's fun to spend time with.  I'm dating someone else as well, but that's a whole other story.


So here's my dilemma:  My dance team is having our "initiation" tonight at 2 bars in SF.  I don't want to get drunk, especially since I have to drive myself, but I do feel like I should "bond" with my teammates.  One of the older members I'm friends with told me that he would opt out, but that he wants a full report b/c something scandalous usually happens.  So J. (the old high school friend) invited me to Tahoe this weekend for his birthday.  He and his friends are leaving tonight, and will be spending all day tomorrow playing in the snow at NorthStar.  I'm not real excited about skiing, but I would enjoy sledding and wearing my MoonBoots.


Which would you choose?  Stay and go to the initiation, bonding with people who will be here for more than a few months, or go to TAhoe with some fun people and play in the snow?  J. will be leaving in a month or two to drift around the world, spending a month or so here and there in various South American and African countries.  I can't decide if I should jump in with both feet and fully enjoy the time he's here, or stay more detached and just hang out with him from time to time.


I've already pretty much made my decision, but I would like a little more input...

Hahaha, thanks for the votes!  I have decided on a compromise...I'll go out to my initiation tonight, and leave around 6 am tomorrow for Tahoe.  Well, as long as the initiation doesn't get too out of hand.  I'm finally going to get to use my cow print MoonBoots!  Yay!!!
