Question about air drying jeans
Permalink Closed

For you girls that air dry your designer denim, how do you get rid of that stiff rigid feeling they have after drying?  Do they soften back up as you wear them?  Thanks!

I have to air dry all my jeans, and the stiffness just goes away as I wear them - it's gone after the first wear.  HTH!

If I air-dry them, I iron them afterwards and then they're not crunchy anymore.

I air dry all my jeans then throw them in the dryer on the lowest heat setting for 5-10 minutes to soften them up.

I have never air dried jeans before.  Doesn't it take forever to dry that way?  Also, what is the benefits of this?  I always stick mine in the dryer and they come out perfect.

I air dry my jeans because it's very hard for me to find jeans in lengths long enjoy for my long legs.  If I put them in the dryer, the length always shrinks, so I won't do it.  It doesn't take forever to dry at all - say I wash jeans tonight and hang them up to air dry - they'll be dry in 24hours or less.

I keep them in my laundry room, with the dehumidifier on and they are dry in less than 24 hours.

Like the others said, it usually takes about 24 hours or so for the jeans to dry. I only wear my jeans Friday-Sunday, so it's no problem for me to wash them during the week and let them air dry.

I do it because my jeans always shrink too much in the butt and thigh area if I put them in the dryer.
