Bean "chili" recipe
Permalink Closed

I use the word chili loosely because I didn't find it very chili-ish at all. Maybe add a packet of chili seasoning? Either way it was really good. I got the recipe off the DWLZ recipe section - it is 2 cups for 3 points - 2 cups of this stuff is A LOT. Also, i am more of a meat girl so I may try to find a lean sausage to put in it next time I make it. But maybe that's just me because my mom put sausage in her beans & I thought it could use something else...

1 can mexican stewed tomatoes
1 can fat free chicken broth
1 can fat free refried beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can black beans
1 onion
spices - whatever you wish (i use tony's in everything)

Put all ingredients into a large pot & simmer for 1/2 hour. Drain some of the liquid from the beans so it will be thicker. I cooked mine really slow for about 2 hours just because i had the time.

That's it! SUPER EASY.

This does sound easy. I think I'll get the ingredients next time I go to the store and keep them on hand for a cold, wintery day (like lately!).
