what's your favorite "shapewear"?

i need a gut reducing slip kind of thing to wear under my bridemaid dress for my friend's wedding.  i have a couple nancy gantz bodyslimmers (underwire, non-padded slip with removable straps) which were pretty good but i can't find them anywhere.  i also have a flexees one Underwonder® Firm Control Strapless Body Slipthat is really slimming-- same idea but with padded cups, so the dress won't fit with the extra they add.  what i need has to be strapless and have pretty good support --i'm a c cup.


( i don't know what's going on with the formatting here -- it won't let me move stuff over and i can't even delete the extra huge type, so sorry about the craziness.)


anyone have a brand they love or hate?  i will probably just order a few and keep the one that works, but any recommendations would be appreciated.

I am a loyal customer to Spanx, I just like how light weight their products are and they hold up really well. I usually only wear the power panties under dresses, but I was interested in trying the whole one for my wedding. I would love to know what you decide.

chic -- i decided to order just the bodywrap one from barenecessities.com.  i called them and they said that the spanx one doesn't have any kind of bra or cups in it, which i didn't really like b/c it would mean i would have to wear a bra under it.  the bodywrap was underwire, half the price, and had the highest spandex content. also, spanx does not have straps and bodywrap has convertible/detachable straps. plus i can just go to nordies and try on the spanx.


i'll let you know how it is when i get it.

hmmm, the girl i talked to said the spanx are totally worth the extra $$$ ... i'll have to go try them and compare when the one i ordered comes.
