Could I carry this?
Permalink Closed

It was in the men's section at Marshalls and thought it was perfect and beautiful to carry my laptop from work.  Plus it matches my carry-on and was a deal at $99 (they're going for way more on ebay.

It says it for "men" but could I pull it off? or should I return it and look for better options?

i think you'll be fine.  i don't see anything that would make it particularly man-ish.  you'll have a very professional woman look with that.

i love it!

my boss, who is a man, has that same bag in dark choclolate brown leather.  it looks great and he has had it for a while (so he tells me.).

i think it is non-gender specific- so you're safe!

if you want something different though- my other coworker just scored the nicest black brief from Franklin Covey for $150 that is for her laptop and files.  i loved it too.

I think it is very nice and a woman could definitely pull it off. One thing though-- how big/heavy is your laptop? Since that bag doesn't have a shoulder strap, it might get very heavy after you're carrying it for a while.

oooo good call.  my lap-top/work bag has handles that allow me to carry it on my shoulder... those lap-tops get HEAVY by the end of the day... my shoulder is still smarting from today and i dropped my bag on the floor an hour ago!
