has anyone ever emailed about something that was taken off of the site, just to get the name and item number- possibly to see if its in any stores? i was looking at a sale bag, and its no longer there. grrrr.
I was looking for an item by calling some of their stores a few weeks ago. The item I wanted was still on their site so I knew its name and product number but that didn't help me at all. A SA told me they use different product numbers in the stores and all I could do was to try to describe the item to them.
If the bag you're trying to find is in their paper catalog you could give them the page number so they can look it up and see which bag you're talking about. That did help in my case.

I believe the stores and the website are operated independently. Sooo stupid! I think there are a bunch of other stores that are the same, but I can't remember which ones also do this. I hate it!

that would also explain why prices differ so widely betwee the two places.

usually the catalog can give you the store sku if they know the name or catalog number. I just don't know the name or item number! I shot them an email describing the bag, i hope someone knows!
