Sorry, I'm not crazy about them.

I have seen them in person and I did not like them at all.  I'm gonna say pass on this one.

I like them a lot, but haven't seen them IRL as HeatherLynn has...I would take her word for it, or go see them in person for yourself.

as someone who worked for payless for six years, i would say pass. that type of sandal was generally one of the poorest quality shoes in the store. now, i left the job in august so have not seen that particular shoe but in the past that type of shoe was bad news.

1. payless shoes generally do not have any cushioning so this could be quite uncomfortable with the wedge heel height.

2. the straps are probably only glued down under the lining and will probably come apart quite quickly.

3. the straps around the ankle are probably not going to fit very well, not matter how much the buckle is tightened or loosened.

4. the lining right at the toes will probably start to look very scuffed and might even start coming apart because its so thin at that part.

5. the bottom of the shoes probably doesn't have much traction so this could be a dangerous shoe on wet concrete or other slick surfaces.

that being said...if the shoe is cheap (like it's on sale or BOGO) then it might be worth it for one evening. if you are buying it at full price and want it to last all summer, then no.

that also being said, payless shoes are not always this bad. i still own quite  few pairs from there and they have held up reasonably well. i do not like, and have never liked, thier heeled sandals. flat sandals, pumps, and casual mocasins or slip ons have been okay. they are also pretty great on flipflop type sandals.

I recently made a trip to Payless to see if they had any good shoes.  What a dissapointment!  Most of the shoes were ugly and made of fake leather and just plain looked cheap.  But I must say, about 5 years ago or so I purchased these fabulous leather sandals for $5 (on clearance)which I still have!  In the summer I wear them nearly every day and they still look good!  They have the quality of $100 shoes.  It's a rare case I'm sure.
